In terms of import and export value, statistics show that China imported printing machinery worth USD 2.029 billion in 2024, an increase of 6% compared to the same period of the previous year. Specifically:
- Prepress equipment imports amounted to USD 41.05 million (up 14% year-on-year),
- Printing equipment imports totaled USD 1.88 billion (up 9% year-on-year),
- Post-press equipment imports reached USD 108 million (down 34% year-on-year).
On the export side, China's printing machinery manufacturing industry has in recent years developed a comprehensive equipment supply system. The technological level, quality, and supporting capabilities of domestically produced printing equipment have significantly improved, making exports one of the key drivers of industry growth.
In 2024, China exported printing machinery valued at USD 3.687 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.05%.
